This Privacy Policy explains how GeoIcons ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you visit https://geoicons.io (the "Site") or purchase a commercial license. Questions: support@geoicons.io.

1. Data we collect

• Usage & analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the Site is used (pages visited, device/browser, referring source, approximate location). We run it with Google Consent Mode: in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland, analytics cookies are not set until you accept the cookie banner — until then Google receives only aggregated, cookieless measurement. Visitors elsewhere are measured with cookies by default, and can decline via the same banner.
• Purchase data. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. When you buy a license you provide your name, email, and billing details to Lemon Squeezy, who processes the payment. We do not see or store your card details. We retain your email address and order/subscription ID in our records to issue and re-send license keys and for tax/accounting.
• License key delivery. We send your license key and related messages by email via Resend.
• Support correspondence. If you email us, we keep the message and your address to respond and for our records.

2. How we use your data

• Fulfil your purchase and deliver/re-send your license key.
• Provide customer support.
• Operate, secure, and improve the Site.
• Meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and prevent fraud or abuse.

3. Legal bases (GDPR)

• Contract: to deliver a license you purchased.
• Legitimate interests: to secure and improve the Site and our business.
• Consent: for analytics cookies where required by law (you can withdraw it).
• Legal obligation: to keep tax and transaction records.

4. Cookies

The only cookies the Site uses are set by Google Analytics, and only after consent where consent is required (EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland). Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage; clearing site data will prompt the banner again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, or install Google's opt-out add-on. Essential functionality does not depend on analytics cookies.

5. Sub-processors & sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run GeoIcons. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Data retention

We keep purchase and license records for as long as needed to provide the license and to meet legal/tax obligations. Analytics data is retained per Google's retention settings. Support emails are kept while relevant.

7. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR in the EU/UK, CCPA in California) you may request to access, correct, delete, or port your data, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know and delete personal information and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email support@geoicons.io.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with its "Last updated" date.
